double V, as in the german pronounciation. Spelling's somewhat different. Not like vogon's beware. The germans, and the dutch btw, would still say it the same way though

I disagree with this article - it says it's meant with obvious sarcastic intention but my observation has actually been that it's said with obvious ignorance and lack of concern for precision in speech. If you correct people, they just shrug and say, "whatever."
