Hey, I liked it obscure. It's just that you generated some questions among those of us from distant shores, and I had fun answering them.

thanks rebecca. i could have been less obscure...and yes, that is the brooklyn bridge in the back.

thanks a lot

Is that the Brooklyn Bridge in the background?

contender - could have fought (contended) for the heavyweight title.

wim commented on 08.05.03
it is my turn in not understanding, I grip the coulda thing, but that still does not explain "contender"

Rebecca commented on 08.05.03
You don't understand, this mattress coulda had class. This mattress coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what it is, let's face it.

Kevin37uk commented on 08.05.03
So are you saying this mattress is a hasbeen dock worker?

Rebecca commented on 08.04.03
Wim - In the movie "On the Waterfront" (1954), Marlon Brando portrays an ex-boxer dock worker who laments that he "coulda been a contender" but instead only got a "one-way ticket to palookaville." However, I think this mattress is a contender, palookaville or not. The shot is beautiful!

that fence is crazy! more fences should terminate like that, imo.

wim commented on 08.04.03
what is a "contender"?

Christel commented on 08.03.03

rudayday commented on 08.03.03
