Not Its Natural Colour I'm Sure. - 12.12.03

I found this half of a bed base on the Medway city estate. I'm guessing this was not its natural colouring. Incidentally the other half is lying in river but I can't get a decent shot of it.

if one can have a palindrome spring, why not a spring in autumn colours

Isn't that obvious? It's such beautiful, desirable stuff they absolutely had to have some to take home and sew up a little shroud or something.

HI Christine, these bases normally sit straight on the floor, although some have little plastic feet. Some of the bases that are this thck have large draws in the bottom and they are often used to hold bedding, pillows, etc. I guess children with these use them for toys. What I was wondering with this bedbase is why has someone cut a large rectangle of material out of it?

Kevin, what is it with your Englishmen and your thick bases? We Americans settle for a base/boxspring half that size! Does this base sit on a frame as well, or sits right on the floor? Does that mean the children of England don't stuff toys under their beds? You guys are really missing out on something special.
