Friends, this is not a mattress picture but a picture with a mattress story.
This evening I was returning home after a tough hour slaving over a hot camera when I did espy a mattress on the horizon going down the road like a bat out of hell on the top of a car. To cut to the chase--I gave chase and in my haste did not see any red lights in front of me. Hamilton's finest were very much on the ball at that particular intersection where I saw no red lights and on my alighting from said intersection realized that I myself was being pursued, by not one but two patrol cars--overkill I call it. Anywho they alleged that I did run a red light and gave me a ticket saying as much. I offered my most wretched, humble, grovelling, abject apologies but to no avail. The bastards still gave me a ticket. Any donations toward the fine will be greatly appreciated and accepted.
Thank you.
Your humble servant.
Pablo

Pablo, we owe you the utmost respect. I, too, have a story to share while trying to "hunt down" a street mattress. A passerby said they saw a streetmattress(es) by the bridge. I was so excited (still trying to earn my *third* mattress pic for the mattress hall o' fame). As it was on a one-way road, I parked under the bridge and ran to where the supposed unsuspecting mattresses were resting. Well thanks to Osama bin Laden (the newest scapegoat for all our problems), there were extra police patrolling our bridge after a rumor of bridge terror, and a cop drove right up to me (my camera in hand, ready to go) and asked me what in the WORLD I was doing. Well, following my rule that "a lie is only bad if it hurts someone else," I told him I thought my daughter had dropped something out the window and I was going back to check. He didn't question the camera, and I had managed to wipe away that look of adventure in my eye. So you see, mattress hunting has it's risks, but it's all worth it...right? Right, Pablo? Pablo?

How short-sighted of them...don't they realize that you answer to a higher authority? You should fine them back in the name of streetmattresses!
