could it be the same mattress from my youth? - 08.03.02

this mattress means a lot to me. 9 years ago a friend and i moved out to vancouver. we had no money but conveniently lived right beside a Value Village. luckily when we moved in, it coincided with the store's disposing of unsold mattresses i guess, and we raided the dump for the best we could get. best still meaning shite. now 9 years later, i'm back in vancouver visiting friends, and i take one day out to go reminisce and see my old apartment. the current renters there wouldn't let me inside to fully experience my nostalgia, so i left hurt. i decided to walk over to the Value Village and see whats up. and to my surprise, a mattress lay there beckoning my name..."remember me?!?!"

what a strange coincidence, and a strange coincidence to find out about this website at the same time. i hope you can all enjoy this vicarously through my story. it really was a touching moment.

Looks like you might be able to find a tissue in that pile of garbage to the left to wipe that tear from your eye. Thanks for sharing. I need a tissue now too.

Great story! It would make a good short film.
