While on one of my regular routes to my offspring's school I saw a fenced area that I'd not noticed before, with solid wooden sides about 8 feet high. There was a padlocked door, so I realised it was some sort of storage area. Peering through a very narrow crack, I thought I could see some rubbish, so I thought if I could get a picture I'd know what was inside. There was nothing I could safely climb up on, so I decided to balance the camera on top of the fence and take a pic that way. At full stretch I could just get the camera onto the top of the fence, but when it was up there I couldn't reach the shutter release button. The solution was to set the self-timer on the camera, then lift it up, letting it tip gently over onto the far side and hang down with the lens hopefully pointing at the rubbish, (while holding tightly on to the strap!) and wait a few seconds. I did this, and with my very first attempt this is what I got! A wooden bedbase and a metal one. Why anyone would want to keep all this crap locked away from prying eyes is beyond me. Thanks for listening.

The high fence which hid this bed base can be seen on the left in one of Vogon3's pictures, "Going away for Christmas" of 16th Dec 04, currently on page 15 of his showcase.

I applaud your extraordinary effort! I'll keep it in mind too, as I'm rather on the short side.
