The man was blocking the second mattress so he had to go. Extra credit goes to the first person to identify the car in the foreground (one of my personal favorites). Special thanks to Shiloh!

Yeah, it's kind of funny how much one can infer from a simple view of someone's back, isn't it? I find the whole scenario vaguely humorous because La Selva Beach is a very quiet, picture-perfect kind of place, where old ladies take their poodles for walk in the park, men congregate in front of the little market to catch up on whatever it is they talk about, housewives in SUVs with perfect hair drop off their offspring at the bus stop for school, and all the little houses are clean and tidy and kind of like the beginning of Blue Velvet if you know what I mean. Except for this one. This house is a bit trashy and raggedy, and they have that lovely little 1800 there but it never moves. And now this. It's just a good thing there's been no sign of Frank yet!

Thanks for that link. Most edifying. From the back he looks like the kinda guy who *would* block a mattress and then just saunter off without a thought for the consequences of his actions. That's just despicable. I hope he's never in the position of trying to take a photo of some mattresses and there's a classic car and he's pointing and the light's right and everything and then some crazy thoughtless damn fool airhead loser just...blocks one of the damn mattresses like it don't count fer nuthin'! On second thought, I hope he *is* in that position someday, yeah, then maybe he'll know, yeah, then he'll know, Rebecca... (dies).
I'm puzzled by "The man was blocking the second mattress so he had to go". What man?

No wonder I've never heard of it. No, Shiloh is my co-worker who drove me to take this picture. She was very nice and patient about it.

Shiloh - a kids' film, 1996, starring a dog called Shiloh.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Shiloh? Shiloh the abused beagle who runs away from home?

Ah, I knew it sounded familiar somehow. I just haven't watched enough tv or something. I was denied television as a child and never developed a taste for it.

You're right! I don't know who the saint is, but that's a volvo p1800, one of my all-time favorites.
