We call them minivans here even though they aren't necessarily all that mini - I suppose it's to differentiate them from large industrial-type vans or something. Maybe the Sharan is larger than it appears in pictures. The only thing we have that I personally would call a real minivan is the Scion xB.

I actually prefer "Minivana" as a collective term for all things minivan. It's like "Victoriana" and Americana". But we wouldn't call a VW Sharan a minivan - it's a people carrier or MPV. The only British minivan was that based on the old Austin/Morris Mini of the '60s and '70s.

You know what they say, Minivana are tangible evidence of evil.

I found it...VW Sharan. It appears to be a minivan with a pointy nose.

There sure is Rebecca, and VW, Peugeot and Citroen build it on the same substructure. Vogon is a guy driving tourists around, sightseeing mattplaces and placematts

Wait, so there is a car called Sharon/Sharan?
Smart Set commented on 03.18.05
FOD, driving position looks too high for a Sharan. Could be a van.
I'm so lost... commented on 03.18.05
