psychobabble commented on 06.15.05
I flew back from Rome next to Joe Brown (banjo free, thankfully) but he was a cool guy to sit with (in Economy!)

Nancy Dumpling commented on 06.15.05
I voted too for Best Point....

FOD40UK commented on 06.15.05
Nothing-usually!

psychobabble commented on 06.15.05
I've just voted - what happens now?

psychobabble commented on 06.15.05
FOD - just came across the banjo pic - worth more than a 'Seen Worse' definetly in the 'BEST POINT' cat (not Ginger Dave, cat of course)

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
It's school holidays, so I don't have to get up too early. Anyway, I am finally off to bed now. Sweet dreams.

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
I work crazy shifts, whats your excuse? As for FOD, that'd be telling.I'm popping over to amazon now-sounds neat!

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
How come you're up so late, FOD? And what does FOD mean?

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
If you go to Amazon UK and find the "Concert for George" live soundtrack CD you can listen to part of "Something" and also Joe Brown closing the concert with "I'll See You In My Dreams" on uke. Not a dry eye in the house.

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
Cosy Powell better watch out!

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
I've tried it on mi washboard but its avvin' none of it.I do a mean bongo solo though!

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
Limp Bizkit is a cinch on spoons.

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
I'm Rebecca's age(not telling!)

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
Musta been quite a gig!I can just about manage a coupla riffs on the banjo, the ukes easier 'cos you can bluff your way along to most things (tho' I struggle with limp biskit)

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
FOD, you're younger than I thought!

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
No, I did mean Beatle George. He started off on uke, was a big Formby fan, too. At the big Concert for George (GH tribute concert), Paul McCartney started off Harrison's "Something" on ukulele.

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
Yep, a coupla years before I surfaced.(turned out nice again!)

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
Obviously the man had taste!(unless you meant George Formby-he lived just up the road from me-tho'I think he died before I was born-I'll just check)

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
George Harrison was a big uke fan, wasn't he?

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
Tho' I'm better on my uke(less strings)

FOD40UK commented on 04.08.05
Er....I try to frail(thats banjo music to the uninit...unnui...mm ..unintiuated?....masses)

Smart Set commented on 04.08.05
Don't fret, Kunought, get your banjo out and have a strum. What sort of music do you play on it? And don't say "banjo music"!

FOD40UK commented on 04.06.05
(Tho' its clearing up now)

FOD40UK commented on 04.06.05
I have a nice green ukulele.

Smart Set commented on 04.06.05
The slide of a trombone would make a jolly good pointer, and at the same time an amusing comedy sound effect could be made to startle the neighbours.

Wycliffe commented on 04.05.05
Bugger me lad Kirkham, I had many an experience in kirkham railway station on my way to Blackpool back in the day. and to think Kirkham has matts lurking on housing estates now. Phew. Whata shocker.

wim commented on 04.04.05
the first mat with an instrument, a new category!!

Smart Set commented on 04.04.05
By 'eck, FOD, you've got some neck!
