Kinko - 04.17.05
submitter: Rebecca
location:Santa Cruz, CA
Since there is not much interesting about these mattresses, I will tell you a little story about the site. They are parked directly in front of the location of the original Kinko's Copies (now FedEx Kinko's), where my friend Robin worked when I was in high school. I spent the day after Halloween there once, still dressed in my costume and sitting around on the copy machines like a sleepless and hung over store mascot. Of course nobody batted an eye, this being Santa Cruz.

Thanks for the information, I've always secretly wondered about those islands but never got around to looking it up.

Santa Cruz Island is no where near Rebecca's Santa Cruz. It is due West of Los Angeles and due South of Santa Barbara. No civilian residents. In fact of all the channel islands (a group of Islands off the Southern California coast) I think that Santa Catalina is the only one with permanent residents.

SS - I don't even know where it is, actually.

"Kinko" - great name!

That would be worth seeing. Do you happen to know if SCI is inhabited by any humans?

Rebecca commented on 05.03.05
They'd never stand for that here. There'd be 100 UCSC students chained to wild boars and chanting vegan slogans.

They want to eradicate the feral pigs that have been tearing up the island and destroying its ecology and habitats, so some hunter guy flies around shooting them from a helicopter.

I sat on the copy machines because there were no chairs, it's simple.

Smart Set, I don't know about the island but we have lots of wild boars here in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

I read an interesting story in the paper the other day about wild pigs on Santa Cruz Island. Ever been there, Rebecca?

I never understood what people liked in sitting on copy machines
