submitter: ChristineL
location:Tacoma, WA
This little guy was sulking behind the church, his face covered by a green blanket. I wonder what he did? I wonder why a church as a mattress?

how can we be certain it is a church?

then he would be an agent of the FMA, Federal Matress Agency

The mattress is actually a federal agent, waiting for the precise time to make his move.

obviously this mattress has not been thrown out of the church but has flung itself against the church's cold sterile walls, seeking redemption. He has attempted to cover his shame with a shabby blanket, a symbol of the fabric which binds all unwanted mattresses together, those both sleepable and tainted. This little guy is seeking sanctuary, solace from the unspeakable acts committed upon him. Woe is this mattress.

or it's a nun mattress facing the wall and counting to 100 as her pals run and hide

Maybe this is just another mattress from the religious order known as "The Mattress's of the devine incarnation", as Legoboy wrote in his comment on mattress number 703: « The order was started in the 80's by Tammy Fay Baker as a spin-off to her husbands evangelist dealings. These mattressi leave their churches at night and roam the streets looking for the homeless and giving them some where to sleep. They are mostly seen around back alleys wearing white or yellow sheets. Unfortunatlety many are also scared with remnants of Tammy's make-up - I can almost make out a slight mascarra swipe on this one.»
