Roosevelt - 10.29.02
submitter: Frank Compernolle
location:Quai Roosevelt, Liège, Belgium
I took this one this night, prisoner of its bed, on this wunderful spot close to the river Meuse (see insert). When I came back this morning, it was gone as by miracle, together with the couch. I took a pic on the same spot, to proove you that Belgian streetmattresses like to sit/lay/hang in front of historical monuments: this time the Aquarium "Van Beneden". I did a little mounting to you show you folks what you would have seen if my flashlight would have been a little bit stronger. By the way, I bet there are more streets in Belgium with the name of an American president, than American streets with the name of a Belgian president. (There is an error, here. If you find it, you win a night on a Belgian streetmattress.)

Wow, I am SO excited!! Of course I knew as soon as I saw Maarten's post that he was right, but I'll take the consolation prize anyway. Now I have to figure out how to cook in a streetfrenchfrying pan.

And the winner is… Maarten69v. He and a partner of his choice are invited to spend a weekend on a real Belgian streetmattress, with Belgian fries, chocolate and special beer as an extra premium. Rebecca wins a streetfrenchfrying pan (as every body knows, French fries in fact are Belgian).

Belgium Has never had a President, I hope I win, Have I Won.Please let me Win Oh Please.

Okay...I want that fabulous Belgian vacation package. I think the pole behind the light-colored round thing in the night shot is missing from the daytime image. Was that it? Did I get it? Did I win?? Do you cook good waffles, Frank?

The mini-van is French, Christine. And there is a Belgian law that says you have to be dead since 25 years before you can get a street, so don't worry about Bush avenue, it will be forgotten by that time. You didn't find the error, but you still can win the contest, try again. Though the light is red on the traffic light, this is not the red light district.

OK--I wanna win, so I'm going to guess the error is...um, an American mini-van in Belgium. Am I right? Frank, are you included on the night on the Belgian street mattress, as well as breakfast in bed with those awesome waffles? And Frank, please don't tell me they've named any streets after our current president. Bush Avenue just has a nasty ring to it.
