Good for Business - 05.13.05
submitter: Smart Set
location:Willesden, London, UK
These guys were on a warehousey sort of business/industrial estate. They must be very good for business, otherwise they'd have been removed, surely?

I know, I know, matt PILE. "Cat on a Mat" just nicer and more alliterative (well, kind of).

Smart Set commented on 06.12.05
Yes, submitted on the 15th. Cat on *four* matts.

Nancy Dumpling commented on 06.12.05
Also, cat on a matt must be coming up VERY soon?

Nancy Dumpling commented on 06.12.05
Looking forward to the teeth...!

Cheeky....

Salinger, I've always wondered: is that your real name?

Oh yeah, I took a pic, as the "Pretend Broken Wall" matt had acquired some new buddies. I had less than one hour free for a matt hunt today, so I went to Harlesden/Willesden and got 11. You and your mum did very well. I can spot most matts while driving, but streets lined with parked cars make it difficult to see everything. My son came with me and spotted 3 matts that I would have missed. The glove showed up and bared his teeth when he saw a matt leaning against a Pontiac Firebird. I'm sure you are the only current hunters in Bristol. Fill your boots!

as far as I know, it's your territory..

Does anyone know...ND'sM (yet to appear but plenty in the pipeline) and me - are we the only Bristol hunters?

Presumably you took another shot of Pretend Broken Wall with new matts? That's allowed isn't it? Nancy Dumpling's Mum and I went on a hunt today. Got 19 in total. She's pretty hot - I made her drive so I could do all the spotting and she still managed to get 7 to my 12. Quite impressive I thought - as I did actually get out of the car and look on various bits of wasteland so clearly had MASSIVE advantage....

Funny you should comment on this one, Nancy, as I was back there today. They'd all been stacked up neatly, and a truly ginormous skip, like Salinger's, had been plonked next to them. A less scrupulous matt hunter might have submitted a picture of the rearranged gaggle, but I moved on. Around the corner, at the site of the broken wall that you thought looked "pretend broken", the matt was still there, but had been joined by a whole mountain of matts and bases. Mattematicians don't really understand why matts congregate in this way, though there are many theories, but Willesden is certainly an excellent place to study this phenomenon.

The first one has a smile like the Joker....that aside, this really is a full on gaggle of matts. How did they all come to congregate here??
