It was too hard to explain "woot" in my own words, Google rules! :)

It was a cold shower for part of the state. The state existed in 1830, the king was inaugurated (?) in 1831, he was a real boiler, with awhollottalove to give, as they all tend to do

So your first king was installed, was he? Like a shower or a boiler.

Nancy Dumpling commented on 07.21.05
You are working anyway?? Poor you!

What's the holiday for, Wim? No public holiday here, alas. Next one is at the end of August...

wim commented on 07.21.05
I wroke up in no wroking condition today, as it is our national holliday

Nancy Dumpling commented on 07.21.05
No mention of cuddles or front bottoms then?! You're right about the spelling...

Smart Set commented on 07.21.05
No, of course I don't know *everything*, just loads (ahem). I just Googled "woot" like Brad did. In urbandictionary.com I would expect to find "cutch" defined as "Any of varous devices 4 ingaging and disingaging 2 wroking parts of a shaft or of a shaft and a driving mechanicism, innit." Woot woot!

Nancy Dumpling commented on 07.20.05
I just put "cutch" in the UD and it gives a definition along the lines of my thoughts (the Welsh def as opposed to the rude front bottom def)...I feel vindicated.

Clever clogs!!

Nancy Dumpling commented on 07.20.05
You really do know everything!! How is that!? I just checked and you're right but I had never heard of urbandictionary until mentioned here.

Smart Set commented on 07.20.05
Thanks, Brad. You lifted all that from urbandictionary.com, the dictionary where they can't spell! :)

Purely comedy slang!: Woot originated as a hacker term for root (or administrative) access to a computer. However, with the term as coincides with the gamer term, "w00t". "w00t" was originally an trunicated expression common among players of Dungeons and Dragons tabletop role-playing game for "Wow, loot!" Thus the term passed into the net-culture where it thrived in video game communities and lost its original meaning and is used simply as a term of excitement. "I defeated the dark sorcerer! Woot!" "woot! i r teh flagmastar!" (Think Tribes) "Woot, I pwnzed this dude's boxen!'
