A mattsure roundabout, more or less. The construction is supposed to shouw a big cloud and rain. Optimistic enough to crawl into bed with the nice lady on the movin mattress.

FRANK, hey there, I thought of you a few days ago, I saw that thingy you wear around your neck, saw it in Honfleur, France but than in gold

it's not foam, it's polyester...and there's a big scandal around it. The artist offered it to Maasmechelen for not that much of money, but they refused. Than they thought it wasn't a bad idea to put something on the roundaboutand had a competition, the cloud won but had to go through an other official way and that made that it costed more than double than what it would have cost in the first place...and of course not to forget : indeed the cloud tried to fly

foam

Nancy Dumpling commented on 10.26.05
What is the cloud made of?

wim commented on 10.26.05
they wanted something cheap and they got it. The first months the construction broke down several times. It is a mobile and can swing with the wind, as long as it is not Wilma.

It's a bit too literal for my liking. Maybe something a bit more abstract would have been nicer..

Cloud and rain? Looks more like a sack of soccer balls and an infield-screen.
